In Bloodlines, if you pick up a weapon more than once, you increase its strength. You run and jump over platforms, whipping any power-up weapons are usual: Boomerang, Axe, and Holy Water.
The format of game plays identical to the classic NES games. Lecarde's also got a Spear High Jump, which resembles the Super Squat Jump from Super Mario Bros.
Lecarde carries a versatile spear, which can strike horizontally or vertically, and it can also be used to attack surrounding enemies in a cool back-and-forth motion. He can strike horizontally or diagonally, and he has the ability to rope-hook the ceiling and swing across. One of Bloodlines' more unique features is your ability to play as either John Morris or Eric Lecarde. So I will probably be updating the blog all afternoon to finish adding my projects and the documentation.The skele-dragons only turn around if you hit them. Because of that I want to make sure anyone willing to go that far has proper resources to reference. You can edit the hires.txt to change the locations of tiles on the sheets and all kinds of crazy stuff if you really want to dig into it. There is a whole lot more to these packs than what you see but most of it is really advanced stuff. I am still working on writing up really good documentation for this. If I can think of any other stuff we might need to work out I will mention it here. How do we add music too! (I can probably read up on that one myself) Do the pngs work properly after scaling up? As soon as we have a handle on how these packs work and I better understand a few aspects of recording it we can move on to the other 2 games. It takes a bit of work to record these so I want to iron out any issues with this pack since it is the smallest/easiest to deal with. We will need to play around with this pack and test it.
